Work in the Community

Whilst we have clients throughout the United Kingdom, we continue to build on our strong local links by supporting schools of excellence in the North of England.

Organisations we have worked with and supported over the past few years include:

• Chetham’s School of Music
• Royal Exchange Theatre
• Manchester Art Gallery
• The North West Business Leadership Team
• Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Manchester

The Directors and senior staff have a long history of providing monetary support and expertise to local arts and social organisations. We encourage our staff to take an active role in the wider community.

Over the years we have developed close links with Chetham’s School of Music. Alan Torevell is a feoffee (trustee) of the school and we have sponsored an annual award for music presentation at Chetham’s for over 20 years.

The North West Business Leadership Team (NWBLT) is a group of around 30 influential businesses and organisations from around the North West including Arup, BAe, Bruntwood, RBS, Siemens and Unilever and Lancaster, Liverpool and Manchester universities. Torevell & Partners is perhaps the smallest organisation in terms of size, but plays an active part in supporting the work of the NWBLT and helping to represent these views in the region and further afield.

Martyn Torevell is a director of the Royal Exchange Theatre. He was recognised as a Cultural Champion of the North West in 2011 and 2012 for his work with Manchester Art Gallery.
